NOTE: This course is exclusively available to existing employees of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
In collaboration with your team, you will build specialised skills and knowledge tailored to your area of practice, all while engaging in a comprehensive learning experience through the apprenticeship model. As an apprentice, you’ll receive dedicated, protected time to focus on your studies and professional development.
This apprenticeship is fully funded and available exclusively to Northumbria Healthcare staff, including nurses and allied health professionals (AHPs). To ensure you receive the right support and supervision, your role must align with workforce planning needs. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will earn a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) and 60 academic credits at Level 7. As an apprentice, you will remain employed within your current role at Northumbria Healthcare, benefiting from the unique opportunity to study locally.
Delivered in partnership with the University of Sunderland, the programme is designed and taught by the expert academic team at the Health and Care Academy, with additional support from University of Sunderland faculty.
The programme opens for enrolment each January.
